Goats Cheese, Onion and Honey Tartlets



• 120g Merci Chef Goats Cheese Log
• 500g shortcrust pastry
• 2 red onions
• 4 tablespoons honey
• Pinch of salt and pepper



1. Preheat oven to 180˚c
2. Roll pastry and line tartlet dishes
3. Add baking beans to tartlets and blind bake for 5 to 10 minutes
4. In the meantime, roughly chop the onions and fry gently for 2 to 3 minutes
5. Add honey to onions, mix and season
6. Take the tartlets out of the oven, remove the beans and add the onion mixture
7. Top with slices of the goats cheese
8. Place back in the oven for approx. 15 minutes or until golden brown
